2026-2027 PIANO LESSON INFORMATION
Elaine Gan accepts a maximum of 30 students per year. The roster for 2026/27 is full. If you're interested in lessons, please email [email protected] to be placed on the waitlist.
Since the first week of school is a busy time for parents, we will commence piano lessons on September 13, 2026 onwards.
Lesson availability is Mondays/Wednesdays/Fridays after 4:00pm, Thursdays after 9:00am, Saturdays/Sundays.
Please register your placement by emailing Elaine at [email protected] by letting her know your top 3 preferred time and day slots for lesson times and if you want lessons either at her studio or your home.
For example:
1. Monday 6:00 pm, lessons at your home (please provide address)
2. Wednesday 5:00 pm, lessons at Elaine's home studio
3. Friday 7:30 pm, lessons at your home (please provide address)
Elaine will do her best to accommodate your requested dates/time slot. There may be times where you or Elaine may need to occasionally cancel or reschedule the week's lessons due to extraneous circumstances (holidays/illness/work/etc), however Elaine is very flexible. The balance will be carried forward to the next month or alternatively we can do a makeup lesson on another date/time.
Elaine completely understand that family needs are always changing - there is no obligation to continue lessons, however, she encourages that students to persevere as musical training powerfully changes brain structure, improves memory, multi-sensory skills, and executive function. Please let Elaine know if you need to stop lessons so that she can open up a spot to someone on the waitlist. Piano lessons are one-on-one to ensure 100% attention is given to the student.
The recommended age to start learning piano varies from child to child, but most experts agree that kids age 6 and above are typically old enough to begin taking piano lessons, with some able kids to start earlier and some needing more time. Elaine teaches kids from age 6 and up.
2026/2027 Rates
Lessons occurring at Elaine's home studio in the neighbourhood of Henley Heights in Secord 9903 224 ST NW:
$44 per 30 min
Alternatively, if you prefer lessons at your home (please provide address) or online lessons:
$50 per 30 min
Lessons are once per week, rates are subject to change each year.
Cash, cheque, or email money transfer to [email protected] is the accepted payment method, paid at the beginning per month.
